Upon forcing his staff down into the ground, the two snakes coiled around it and remained in perfect harmony forever. The snakes can also be symbolic of healing and achieving harmony. So a sighting of a snake is not always a completely negative thing. The Greeks regarded snakes as sacred, and used them in healing rituals, as their venom was thought to be a cure for many conditions. Their skin-shedding was viewed as a symbol of rebirth and renewal.

The lily often references our elders, seniors, parents, and the generations and traditions that have come long before us.
