As children of God, hate is not in our nature, even towards people we do not count as friends and maybe even towards those who are hostile and cruel towards us. When we ask for his help in prayer, he can give us the grace to love even our enemies.
For God’s help to love even your enemies, say this prayer.
Dear Father, I acknowledge that I am your child, and so I have no hate in me. Therefore, I pray that you will help me to love my enemies. I pray that I will not be vengeful or filled with hate toward them. Just as you love the world of both saints and sinners, I ask that you help me love even those who do not love me nor care for me. I pray that I may be able to give the gift of love freely to everyone around me without any restrictions in my heart.
