We usually preserve the wisdom of the past to direct the future. However, change in the world has taken a quicker pace, and sometimes the wisdom of the past cannot help the future. Regardless, prayer can traverse both time and space.

Father God, you are the God of all time and space, I pray for the generations to come that they have the wisdom to tackle the challenges of their time. I pray that they have insight into the mistakes of the past and will not repeat them. I pray that they look up to you for answers and that they do not stumble in the darkness of confusion, I pray that they are protected from disasters by your power and grace. I pray that they build a society of trust, equity, and love and that they make great advancements that benefit every member of their society.
