The Bible says "Be angry but do not sin." This shows there is God's remedy to anger. By praying these words, you can be free from ungodly anger.
Father, I know You are loving and kind, slow to anger, and full of mercy. I pray to the Lord that You will help me stay of anger and give me a heart like yours that is patient and loved unreservedly even in the face of provocation.
I get angry uncontrollably at times, Lord and I say things I ought not to say. I ask that You put a watch on my lips to always speak correctly and a guard on my heart to always think in the right direction. Thank you, Father, because You will teach me to stay above anger. Amen.
