Sometimes the rain can reflect or foreshadow what mood we're in. Many people say that when they see rainfall, it reflects the gray and bad times they're currently going through in their lives. If you feel this, it might be the right time to tap into your mindfulness. Here we look at ways you can do that.

Look into living on a higher vibrational plane

It may seem like living on a higher vibrational level isn't possible if you've never experienced it before. But humans can do a lot on this earth, including elevating how we vibrate and exist.

When you're able to transform your emotional and spiritual levels, you'll notice that higher vibrations can bring more positive energy, and you may even feel lighter inside. So, no matter how depressing the rainfall looks, you're just as content as if the sun was shining on you. There are ways to vibrate higher within yourself, including:

  • Watching what foods, you put into your body
  • Being generous to others
  • Showing forgiveness when necessary
  • Thinking positively

Try using singing bowls to help with relaxation

Singing bowls are used in many cultures to create a calming effect. They work by emitting various pitched sounds that resonate throughout the body. It's believed that these sounds can help us relax and heal our bodies. You should be able to use them on yourself, as they come in different sizes to work on other areas of the body. There are various ways you can use one.

Because of the rainfall, you may be inclined to add water to the bowl. So, when you tap or stir the bowl, you'll notice the vibrations moving the water, which can be therapeutic. The water inside the bowl can also impact what type of vibrations your body receives.

If you tap the bowl without filling it with water, you may get more high-pitched sounds, which work on different parts of your body. The sensation is relaxing and allows the muscles to be a little looser and ready to release any negative emotions stuck to them.

In addition, you can try tapping the bowl in different positions. Some people prefer to hear the sounds while lying down or sitting in a meditative pose. In contrast, others prefer to stand or walk around so each vibration can resonate with their movements. The longer you take in the sounds of the bowls, the better the meditation.

Dissociate from the pace of the world

The rain can be a reminder that life is passing by quickly. And while we don't want to ignore the reality of the situation, we can still find peace because we have control over our thoughts and actions.

However, sometimes there is so much going on in the world that you can find it overwhelming to take in, especially if you find yourself empathetic to world disasters, social and economic crises, and poor living conditions for most people.

It's okay to take a moment for yourself if this is too much. If you feel you need some space, go ahead and close your eyes for a few minutes. When you open them again, you'll realize that you were able to detach from the current events happening in the world. This will allow you to focus on your personal needs and desires.

You can also do this through journaling, reading books about self-development, or listening to music. Sometimes meditation doesn't require us to sit silently for a few minutes. Instead, it could simply mean we give time to feeding our souls with something other than the negative energy we see in the news or the media.

However, it may be challenging to detach from what society tells us. So, take the time to try and find something that you know will benefit the spiritual health of your inner self instead of overpowering it.
