Dragonflies have varying interpretations for people of all beliefs, faiths and cultures. They mostly reside with the notion that they are loving creatures who have been sent by our angels to produce a message of meaning, so that we can hear them and know our prayers are being answered.
You might mistakenly think that small insects like the dragonfly wouldn't have much meaning or significance. Dragonflies actually symbolize joy and light—a direct message from our angels to us that we must keep our hearts and minds open to.
We are reminded by dragonflies to live in the now. It is the most precious thing we own, and the one thing that is always misused. They demonstrate our ability to cope with life's challenges, even on the terrible days where we feel hopeless, or that nothing ever goes right for us.
When we see a dragonfly mid-air, we are reminded to be fearless, just like them. In all directions they fleet and fly, without a care or thought. They want us to be like them in some ways – have direction with nothing attached to it. They show us that we can overcome anything, even on bad days, including the process of not feeling wanted by someone we love.
Angels know us from our younger days, when we didn't care about anything other than what we were doing at any given moment. We would stand in awe of animals such as the dragonfly, and often and wandered after them, until their flight took them too far away.
This can be similar to how we wish we could chase our inner child through the meadows, and be there to watch them grow and be curious. They convey a message of youth and vitality, both of which we can still choose to incorporate into our lives if we allow them to.
You can see how a dragonfly brings light to the world by watching them gracefully dance through the air over tall trees and through fields. Their purpose and wings reflect this light, allowing us to see our own light, even if we forgot it was there.
The dragonfly sends a message of nature. It is you who is lost in the midst of the inside world, afraid of the wondrous beauty of the world. You want to get lost in it, but you are also afraid of doing just that and so you retreat.
Your angels are your daily reminder that you are keeping on track and in touch with what matters in the core of your soul. If they feel something is off balance, they will find an animal of spirituality to connect with you. Being the dragonfly, an animal who needs to be near water at all times, signifies the art of emotion and keeping in touch with your deeper self.
You are more than just skin and bone. In fact, if you held your hand up in front of a bright light, you will notice the intrinsic similarities between the veins within it, and that of a leaf in full bloom. In each way, we are connected to nature. From pull of the tides of a full moon, to the air we breathe that the trees give us, we work in harmony the same way our angels work with us.
Your angels today want you to pay attention to their message, and seek to find the answers outside in the world of color and wonder. Nature heals us, from the inside out. Our angels, alternate beings of the universe are aware of the effect it can have on our body and mood, and they want to see you heal those parts of you that you struggle to carry. These could include past hurts, or negative thoughts about yourself or your abilities.
You can choose to let go and step onto the green grass, walk amongst the trees and listen to the sound of the tide crashing to shore. These sounds are different versions of life that extend to us, allowing us to be grateful of their existence as well as that of ours.
Your angels send you this dragonfly to help discourage the unhealthy patterns of turning your back on nature.
