Emotions can sometimes overspill and create a dark cloud above our heads. As our world begins to cave in on itself, there often seems to be an air of hopelessness as we try to salvage a little sanity from negative situations. We search for meaning that never seems to fully arise, and that can leave us feeling destitute and empty.

Angels are our main caregivers – whether or not we are fully aware of that. Those who are, tune in to their energy daily, but those who aren't are often left to wonder why they feel so alone. Those closed minds can be open when we allow our hearts and minds to be vulnerable, and to let the pain and sadness out.

Heavy or hurtful music may sound to you as though it should be avoided. After all, who would intentionally choose to wallow in such self-pity when there are many other and much happier musical options to choose from? Actually – to shy away from such music can sometimes leave you feeling worse. Keeping it, all can be extremely unhelpful, which is why our angels reveal it to us from time to time.

Emotions are a little like a boiling pot. If the lid is sealed on, no steam can escape. The contents bubble away inside, causing spillages and an explosion of boiling water and steam. Angels like to think of our minds as the lid, and heavy or hurtful music as the lifting of it. It may seem as though the lid has a use, but actually if lifted can release all the buildup that is detrimental to yourself moving forward.

You know as much as your angels do that there will soon be brighter days. Until then, a heavy heart needs to be loaned heavy sounding music to help take away some of the pain it is experiencing. Heartache of course, is a leading contribution to such a feeling, and that can take some time to overcome.

As our angels watch on helpless, they want you to find meaning in the world again. What once filled you with joy has gone, and you may be feeling alone. This is why a sign from your angels such as a particularly heavy or hurtful song, or a string of love songs are sure to set your emotions running and let your heart cry for all the love you wish you were receiving.

Losing a loved one, whether that be through a break-up, a death or merely drifting apart from those you were once close with is the end of a chapter. Their presence, for whatever reason, is no longer in your life and if you have been used to them being there, it feels like a gaping hole.

You might even be looking for meaning yourself, as you evade all happiness and instead create a desire to fill the gap with something – anything – else.

When you hear a heavy or hurtful song, think about the sounds it is producing. Is there a sad connotation to the rhythm or chord selection? Is the beat similar to your aching heartbeat? Maybe the lyrics are exactly what you need to fall into in order for you to start grieving a loss that is profound. In years' time, you will likely look back on this moment and appreciate the song or songs for being there for you, and for understanding your pain.

Heavy and hurtful music might seem angry, or anti-love/happiness, but your angels are communicating to you via these songs for a strong reason. They want to validate your emotions, and remind you that even if you aren't feeling your usual self, it's okay to let it out and seek ways to release the anger or disappointment life has served you.

It's really important to continue to be grateful for them showing up for you, even through difficult times, because they will also remain by your side as the sun begins to rise in your life once more, and very soon. Heavy songs have important meaning, and if you tune in to what they are telling you, you can and will find your way through the uncertainty and be back to your old self.
